Products, warehouses, and transfer

Trading shops sell Products, keep quantity in warehouses, and move stock with a direct transfer. Sales always use the default warehouse (Main).

  1. Step 1

    Create brands and link suppliers

    Inventory → Brands: add brand names. On a Supplier, tick the brands that supplier carries. Both brand and preferred supplier on a product are optional.

  2. Step 2

    Create products (opening optional)

    Inventory → Products: name, barcode, sale price, and unit cost. Sale price is required. Unit cost is editable for a manual correction; purchase receipts and Add stock also update it when a unit cost is typed there. Excel: Download template, Export, Import — import creates new products only and rejects existing barcodes. Optional qty:{warehouse} columns post opening stock. Type a barcode or click Generate unique code. Download barcode / Print label put the product name above the bars and the code underneath. On create you may enter Opening stock by warehouse (blank or 0 is skipped). On edit, on-hand is read-only; Add stock by warehouse only increases quantity. Stock history on the product shows every movement. If you pick a preferred supplier, Brand lists only that supplier’s brands. Changing supplier clears Brand when it no longer fits. Day-to-day purchases and sales still hit Main only.

  3. Step 3

    Use warehouses

    Every workspace starts with Main, marked Default. Add Store or other locations. Sales and purchases always hit the default warehouse. You cannot delete the only default until you pick another.

  4. Step 4

    Receive, then transfer if needed

    Purchase receipts increase quantity in Main. Use Inventory → Stock transfers to move Store → Main in one post. There is no in-transit step.

  5. Step 5

    Sell only from Main

    Scan the product barcode on a sales invoice. If Main does not have enough, save is blocked: transfer or receive into Main first. Low-stock alerts use the company total across warehouses.
